I have been planning to get my tongue pierced for a couple of months now and there is a special offer in the studio I wanted to do it in until thursday. However, I am booked into the dentist to get a couple of fillings next monday. Would I have to wait until after my dental appointment or would it be ok to get the piercing?

Tongue piercings tend to fracture teeth quite a bit, my advice is dont do it, but if you have to stick to a plastic stud rather than metal. I have seen many perfectly good teeth broken from these.

Me too, today actually, lovely straight teeth after ortho treatment with fractured premolars due to a funny habit of biting the tongue stud.... not good....
