Applications for Postal Voting Closed

It seems applications for postal voting closed on Sept 1st - following the polling day order which was issued the day before.

I assumed (never a good idea, I know) that if prospective presidents had most of September to get on the ballot, I would also have that month to register for a postal vote.

Have any of the candidates complained about the stupidity of voting on a Thursday?

So does that mean if I send my letter to be submitted onto the electoral register tomorrow to the Frachise office in DCC, I won't be able to vote?
