The passenger side window switch doesnt work well and rarely operates the window.

The window works fine using the driver door switch so I am assuming it's the switch itself at fault.

Main dealer wanted a squillion euro to replce it.

Is it something I could do myself? If so, how and where to get a spare switch?

Yeah the switch is not that hard to change, just remove the door trim to get too the electrical switch if you even need to do this. Take your time getting it off don't go pulling at it, a bit of force is needed to remove it but if your pulling and it's not coming off have a look for hidden screws.

Any motor factors would have the switch (consort or the likes) or even a breakers might have one.

Sounds like a switch, I was going to say the window reg might be on the way out, but when you mentioned that it works well with the D/S switch I would also go with the switch. Maybe give it a quick Google to see if it's a common fault and maybe get some next steps on fixing it.

The triangular trim around the switch pulls off, the switch itself is clicked in from behind. Best to get one from a scrap car as these switches aren't the usual old type toyota ones from older models.

Can anyone recommend where to get the swicth I need?

Local auto factors say it's a main delaer part.

The main dealer is asking €70.00.
