Does anyone have experience of lessons at the national academy Carton house. Im thinking about taking a few lessons with Bernard Quigley, any feedback on him or the other instructors would be much appreciated.

I play off ten. I went to Kenny Fahey. Found the set up to be excellent. Had a good chat about what I wanted to achieve against how much work I was willing to put in and between us we decided he'd give me small things to work on. Using the cameras he explained why I hit the shots I hit and with small tweeks how I could improve my ball-strike consistency. You get what you put in after the lesson. Facilities are amazing though. I'll defo be going back for a short game lesson soon. Keep an eye out for deals. Fairly sure I saw something on O2 treats before but there's so many "deals" sites now I can't be 100% it was from there.

Not quite lessons but I was there on one of the Clinic days about a month and a half ago. (Special offer after Rory won US Masters - €67.50 including very nice lunch )
I was with 4 others and had Derek McNamara as instructor. I found the whole day was of great benefit and really enjoyed it. Derek was very good and explained everything very clearly. The follow up email he sent is very useful to refer back to when practicing.
    Amazing set up!

    +1 regarding what ASBO said

With regard to Bernard - quality coach and a lovely guy. A lesson with any of the guys in Carton is money well spent IMO. Fantastic setup, the best in Ireland and top quality tuition

I would definitely recommend Bernard Quigley in the Academy.

I've had 4 lessons since the start of the year and I've gone from 17 to 12 in that period, and looking to inmprove further.

I went out there and asked him to help me develop a consistent swing.

What stood out for me was the drills Bernard gave me to practice that helped me to actually visual what I needed to do.
In order words, you can be thinking about your swing even when you're not on the range / course.

In 2010 - I got some lessons with two other pro's (not to be named) but neither were anywhere near this standard.

    Hope this helps.

I did a full day clinic there with Derek McNamera.A day well spent and he followed up with a personal email covering everything from the day as there was a lot to take in.My chipping has improved a lot since the lesson.
