I'm running Firefox 7.0.1 on Windows 7 (64-bit) on a core i3, 4gm ram, Lenovo G570 laptop and I am trying to update flash player to the latest version but it just wont work. Whenever I click the downloaded file to install, I get the pop up asking if I'm sure and when I click yes, I immediately get an "Adobe Flash player has Stopped Working" error with the following details:
    Problem signature:

I have tried using the different versions of flash player install (the update method, I uninstalled and tried a clean install, I even tried 64-bit version 11 beta) and nothing works, always the same error.
Anyone have any idea what I can do, because its driving me nuts?

(other info: the user account is an administrator, UAC is turned off, flash player was working ok until day before yesterday, virus scan was clean (will run again with different program for second opinion)

Somehow, it worked this morning . I think it was a download problem, as an avi I downloaded yesterday played but with glitches. I think that files weren't downloading properly, (enough so that firefox thought they had finished, but missing bits so that the flash player installer was corrupt). Worked this morning so problem solved.
