Strange thing is that when something goes wrong, the usual names I call it are "F**king Stupid Thing!" or "What a sh1t piece of design!" or words to that effect.....

Legend has it that the moniker 'Rolls' really bugs the stiff upper lip Rolls Royce afficianados. Apparently Royce was the engineer behind the marque whereas Rolls was only a car salesman.

Correct.. but the cars were always called "Rolls.."

Now if you work for Rolls-Royce plc.. then you of course are said to work for "Royce's".
