There was a family of Norwich fans beside me in the pub and they had a good laugh at it. I couldn't make it out first and they told me, good ice breaker! :D

Thats why it's funny, because it was a pathetic campain to get rid of the glazers.

Pretty sure there's still plenty of knobs wearing them yellow and green scarves to old trafford.

Definitely had some serious discussion about that campaign last season. Glad it feels like longer ago though!

How was it pathetic? They did there best to express their concerns about the ownership.

Thought it was a good protest by the Utd fans to be honest and got them the publicitity they were looking for. Though the fuss has died though the hardcore Utd fans do realise they have a problem long term with the Glazers in charge and instead of just doing nothing they made a stand. Fair play to them. Too many supporters in football these days just accept whatever is given to them.

...by continuing to go to games, buy programmes, buy jerseys etc. Hardly a protest in fairness. I'm sure the Glazers were sh*tting themselves.

Seriously? If there is one team's fans that can not be on their high horse about protests, it's Celtics.

I really dislike when people oversimply things. It's a pathetic attempt at looking synical. Why not do it for everything? Football is just 22 lads chasing a ball around a pitch after all.

That night vs Milan in the Champions League, once United were comfortable, it turned into a massive anti-Glazer protest, both visual and audible to the whole of europe.

G&G served a purpose. The Glazer's haven't taken their dividends out of the club, lost up to 25% of MUFC and their has been plenty of investment in the team.

A better protest than sitting in silence.

And yes, that Norwich chant was a good bit of banter.

There are all sorts of different methods of protest. The match day income was always going to be hard to affect given the nature and size of United support. A clearly visible protest inside the stadium was aimed at raising awareness of the issues. Hardly an unreasonable idea.

There was a banner at Norwich game few seasons back which had "Glazers Out, We want our Scarfs back"

    very funny.

Dont recall the protest at Milan match tbh but fair enough if it happened. I happened to think the green brigade protest was very good and got the point across very well with the banners. The green brigade are protesting for completely different rerasons. Fail to see why you feel the need to knock them for it.

Because it's too little too late to get the Glazers out.

And they will always be fans who pay money on club merchandise.

How many fans wore the latest jersey with a green and gold scarf?

Eh? I was talking about the Green brigade. Totally agree with your last point.
