Calling all you Home-Bakers out there!

Im thinking out loud here and need your help please.

Can you please give me an idea of some home-baking items (either ingredients or utensils etc) that you find hard to find in the shops.

Some that i have been given before are:
    - Lemon Curd
    - Muffin Cases
    - Piping Bags

Any other items that you can think of, anything at all, please shout! Thanks! :D

Moved to Cake & Pie. A warning though: If this thread turns out to be just market research, it's likely to be closed. Posters aren't here for that reason.

Did you find the lemon curd? I was looking for ages and spotted it in Tesco..tesco finest range.

More unusual cookie cutters, mini ones as well are hard to get sometimes.

Coloured rolled fondant can be hard to get at times.

Halloween themed stuff, cello bags are hard to get over here, there's not enough variety.

Chocolate melts, or large reasonably priced bags of dark chocolate chips.

Sometimes it's just simple things like sweets to use as decorations have been searching for mini M&Ms can't find them but chocolate chips or half a jelly bean will be ok to use I guess or I might use Reese pieces.

Dog/paw/ print cello bags and stuff like that for making little doggy treat presents.

Must say though it's getting easier to find stuff now than it was a couple of years back.

I wouldn't think of buying lemon curd, it's easily made. The other two items listed are easily found.

I have never had a problem finding lemon curd or muffin cases. Larger branches of Tecso and SQ have both.

Piping bags are a bit more specialist, but lots of specialist shops sell them.

Vanilla bean paste! Dunnes had it here for a short while ..tried all the supermarkets in my area..not a sausage. It's tricky to get hold of here in the sticks.
