Anybody hear the David harvey show on 4fm today? Some woman with a working class dublin accent roaring about muslims wearing all their clothes in a swimming pool. Great comedy

Wahey, lets all bash Muslims who wear different swimming costumes to western people and lets all bash some mythical Bosnian family that is receiving 100million euro a week from social welfare (without any convincing evidence to back up the claim). That bloody show gets on my tits. It comes pretty damn close to incitement to racial hatred some days.

Anyone tuned in to this show now?

    Ireland's racists out in force.

Shocking to hear just how ignorant and hate filled some people can be.

Eh what?? Full Muslim day to day clothing is NOT a swimming costume? I have to shower before I enter the swimming pool and I would strongly object to a muslim using the pool in full clothing but not for any of the reasons you seem to think. Firstly, I would think it was extremely unhygienic as our clothes pick up dust/dirt/bacteria from normal daily activities and this would be transferred into the pool. Secondly, how the hell does somebody honestly swim with their clothes on  Let's be logical about this and not play the racism card for the sake of it.

And then the poor dears would catch their death of cold walking home in those wet cloths, logically

Big problem in France why they insist in public pools people wear proper swim wear.
Speedos for males and bathing costumes/bikini gor women.
Proper order, they can go swim in their clothes in a river not in a pool.

    Anyone catch today's episode?
Some caller used the F word with vigour on two occasions in a discussion on welfare.
The smallies are on mid-term as well.

I have started to listen to 4FM lately because of the decent music they play but this show seems content on letting the racists let loose. I heard it the other day talking about immigration, I was that disgusted, I ended up switching off.

Think I will give this show on 4FM a wide berth. :(

joe duffy would have loved that. Harvey & duffy seem to cover the same topics lately but harveys abit more into the callers telling it like it is and not getting all pc and sensitive like comrade duffy

Today's show was hilarious. A nigerian female called in about foreigners and the welfare state. Harvey asked her if she'd come to Ireland as an asylum seeker, her reply was about three minutes long and did not answer the question. He then asked her about eleven more times before she hung up. Bertie would've been proud of her responses.

The main topic today is supposed to be about the citizenship ceremonies that took place in Dublin earlier this week and the positives that come from people from other countries living in this country.

Well that was @ 1.05, its now 1.57 and its turned into a Nigerian "bashing" hour.... (nothing new there)....

Still not a word about the ceremony on Monday.. Strange that...

Heard it today. Harvey sounds like a class A idiot.

He doesn't have the debating noose to take charge of such topics, doesn't press his callers on their opinions (ludicrous opinions and made up statistics) and seems to harbour very obtuse views on things.

He actually said today: "Yeah, makes you think if all the other countries are sending their dodgy people here".

How exactly would they go about that you clown!?

Seriously. I heard more idiotic comments in the half hour I listened to that show today than any station in the last month.

Hard to believe he's the same guy as the straight-laced co-presenter of "Crimeline" about 15 years ago!
Surely most of his calls are staged?Unlistenable tripe for morons IMO.

Harvey is going to grow a big audience. He's allowing the ordinary folks with their gripes and concerns to air their opinions.Duffy on the tax subsidized rte don't give a platform to people to speak their mind.I gave up listening to comrade Duffy on pravda RTE.Harvey is on to something.

Haver to agree . It really is more like a comedy show at times, but and its a big but, im out dealing with the public on a daily basis, and the prevalent views on the show concerning foringners are very reflective of what people say when they start talking, particularly concerning africans

Harvey is either the biggest moron or greatest wind-up merchant in the country , and I can't honestly decide which it is.

Agreed. It is Gerald Kean the "celebrity solicitor".
