    Hi,

Anyone any advice on suitable trail running shoes? I'm planning on competing in the Sea2Summit adventure race in Westport which involves climbing Croke Patrick, and also has c. 8km of road running. Most trail shoes I've looked at only seem recommended for off road use, but I need something which can handle the uneven rock on the mountain and still be suitable for the road.....

A portion of the course preceeding the final 4 km run may involve a sea water run which will completely submerge runners feet, so shoes which wont retain water would also help.

I use Brooks Adrenaline for conventional Triathlons but am afraid that these wont give enough grip on the Reek.

I did S2S last year, I wore a pair of salomon speed cross. there soft enough to wear on the road section and have the support/grip for the reek.
