There are probably 10 of these threads a day but I'll start another one now! Looking to get a car for around €22k-24k, probably diesel. I have done a bit of looking carzone / cbg and so far have come up with a 09 A4, 10 Passat, 10 Mondeo and 11 Insignia. Looking through some old threads here has put me off the Insignia, they seem to give alot of problems. What would peoples opinion be and are there any other alternative makes / models that people would recommend? Cheers.

Skoda Superb will undoubtedly be mentioned by many, many people. However also look at the Accord and the Mazda 6 with the 2.2 diesel. If you like the A4 then you could try the Seat Exeo. You could get a Subaru Legacy for that kind of money too.
    Or a 5-series a bit older.

Thanks for that, I must take a look at them as well, I had not thought of the Accord or Subaru.

Alfa Romeo 159 diesel maybe? They seem to be going for very reasonable money these days. A Citroen C5 would be another option too..

Another option with your budget is to look to the UK and find a better specced car for similar if not less money.

You could always buy this and spend the rest on petrol/tax etc and enjoy the car!
