Question relating to Lightforce Battery & Dimmer setup......

    Quick question for all you lampers out there.........I have a lightforce 140 lamp & lightforce battery & dimmer control would love to say I know how many ah it is & that lark but I don't know......... Truth be told I bought this set-up aprox 2 years ago used it once and packed it into a press :o I took it back out recently and have every intention of using it over the coming weeks for lamping a few rabbits :) problem is the battery doesn’t seem to be charging when I plug it in................... this may be the fact that I’ve left it in a press as I said for 2 years after using it only once..... is there any way I might be able to salvage this battery or should I just bite the bullet (no pun intended) & go buy a new one? Any help would be graetly apriciated.

    Battery is screwed would be my guess.

    lol that was my guess too but taught i'd ask ;)

    If this is the case i have a new question anyone know where to but one midlands / dublin?

    What are you trying to charge it with (a charger obviously :D) but what kind of one, brand etc

    the whole setup is lightforce and the charger came with it so im assuming its a lightforce also has a car cig connector on the end and plugs into the battery housing to charge the battery.....

    Go to your nearest electrical wholesalers and get a newsealed battery it will be about a 7amp hour one, 'bout €15-€20.

    That will give you the best part of a nights lamping 'cos I think the 140 has a 50watt bulb and you will get 5 hours out of that setup. More 'cos when you use the dimmer and turn it on/off iit last longer.
