PRSI Question (self-employed)

    Hi There,

while trawling through the revenue's leaflets etc on the webpage I came across this:

"Self-employed persons are exempt from Health Contribution where the annual income is €26,000 or less in 2010. The minimum annual PRSI contribution is €253."

If you're a sole trader on the side but still have a PAYE job, does that 'annual income' mean your *entire income* including anything paid on your standard job, or just annual income from the business ?
