The FAS offices near the bus station or FAS on the Coes Rd.?

This is the timetable for Drogheda to Dundalk:

    http://www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1316186614-100.pdf

Matthews buses also run between the two:

    http://matthews.ie/images/pdfs/01-dundalk-timetable.pdf

Use the journey planner here (Drogheda to Dundalk) to get train times:

    http://www.irishrail.ie/home/

Average bus prices are about 5, 6 Euro each way. Someone else will know better than me. I hope this helps.

Hi I have just finished a course in FAS Dundalk. There was until today Oct 3rd a free Bus. I turned down a new course because of no transport. I could not afford bus fair due to not recieving any payment. I would suggest you get there on the first day via Matthews Bus but you will have a 10 to 15 minute walk to get there. When there see can you find other people from Drogheda and maybe You can find other people that would car pool wth you.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Ah thats a pitty , Im hoping I will get some kind of payment . I was told I'd recieve a letter from FAS in the post that Im supposed to bring on the first day and I havent gotton anything yet. Im supposed to start this day next week and I dont know whether to sign off social welfare or what . I think Ill just drive up now then , it'll cost €80 a week but i suppose paying for a bus and parking in drogheda would cost the same

If you are recieving social welfare you will get €187-00 + about €27-00 expenses per week. So it would pay you to drive and if you give a lif to other Drogheda People you could get €50-00 of them

Generally with FAS, you get a letter and sign off on the previous friday before the courses start on the monday/tuesday.
If they dont send you a letter but tell you that your on the course, then head on up to them on the first day and get a F150(i think) off them.
This has happened a few people on both fas courses i have been on so it happens a lot.
