    Hi,

Just bought a jacket that is specifically marked "Wet clean" only.

This is a specific cleaning method that on initial investigations (i.e. phone calls to local cleaners) isn't that common.

I'm in the Laois area. Would anyone have any experience of this or know of anywhere in the surrounding counties that might offer the service?

Also, is this a particularly expensive service relative to dry cleaning?

I can return it for a full refund so I'd like to decide if it's practical to keep it or not.

    Thanks

    SAS

Wet cleaning is generally better for some garments that have special finishes like specific types of plastic beading or hand painted designs and the like. It has become quite popular in Europe but seems to be a bit slower to catch on here, although there are a few around, usually advertising the 'Green earth system'. There are arguments for and against, but IMO it will never fully replace dry cleaning.
Can you describe the jacket and whats the material make up of it.
