Hi, i was looking to buy a replacement part for a rare(ish) tractor and main dealer was charging me €345 on special order

Anyway i sourced and priced the part (spurious) in Turkey and got it at €66 + €26 for delivery but it has to be paid by bank transfer.
I would have prefered paypal but they do not accept it.

I never dealt with this company before and do not want to be ripped off either but cant seem to get part anywhere else.
How safe is bank transfer etc.

    Any advice at all appreciated.

    Thanks

    What's the part?

I know that some of the companies who sell tractor parts here source some of their parts in Turkey.

I'd be weary of trasferring money directly to a company. I got caught before. You send the money and the company disappears off the face of the earth. Bank transfers are dangerous. Paypal is quite secure and you can claim if you don't receive the product. Maybe try to see if they would take payment by credit card - again, if you don't receive the part, you can claim off credit card insurance and the credit card company will follow the seller for the money.

I'll bet if you tell us exactly what you're looking for, someone on here will be able to find the part for you at a reasonable price and with a secure payment facility.

Contact the company on below link. It's a massive place, with a massive array of all kinds of tractor spare parts both used and new.
Worth a shot. NB. In my day job, I deal with many companies all around the world. Dealing with the few Turkish outfits, I have had to deal with is a minefield, in terms of making a deal, sticking to the said deal, getting paid, spurious after market claims, etc, etc,. I for one, would not part with money up front too easily, in that direction:o

    Try this anyway http://www.sjoerup.dk/Danbrugt_English/Used%20spareparts/Used%20spareparts.asp
