I be in Brazil for work for few weeks during months of October and November and wonders if anyone be this side to do travel over the weekends? Its quite difficult being on your own, with no local language and high costs can be shared.

Most Irish are in Rio, Sao Paulo or in other southern cities like Porto Alegre, Florianopolis or Curitiba.

I would recommend going to the northeast of the country. Great beaches, unorganized madness and a world away from the south, which is quite European.
