Flying into Reus - nice areas?

    Hi all,

    Hoping to get a bit of sun in October and have been looking at flying into Reus. Have never been to this part of Spain before (Usually go to Murcia and Alicante areas) I have no idea what this region is like or what is there - only came up with the idea a few days ago! :D

    What sort of areas are around the Reus region - say within an hour or two's drive from Reus airport?

    We're not really looking for a Benidorm/Salou type place - not looking for pubs and nightclubs - we just want somewhere with nice scenery, nice 4/5* Hotel and nice restaurants, and maybe some shopping areas.

    Is there anywhere like this that fits the bill if we fly into Reus?

    We're used to driving around the quiter parts of Murcia/Alicante along the Costas - what's the driving like in Reus and it's wider regions? We're hoping to avoid big spaghetti junctions and huge motorways.

    If someone could recommend some nice areas I could look up and / or hotels that would be fantastic, thanks so much!
