They look quality! I love the Tele and "Jaguar"s... I don't get why they'd call them Jags though, they're not Jaguar pickups, they don't have jaguar vibratos, they don't have a rhythm circuit or those extra switches Jags have... Only thing in common with a Jag is the body and neck.

Also shows Fender are doing it right. None of this Firebird X style Gibson bull****. Good guitars made well and priced reasonably!

Edit to add; I really want that Tele. Like really really. It's a "Telecaster Plus", kinda like a mix of both versions of the original Tele Plus. Tasty.

that Tele is dying to be "Greenwood'd" ;)

There's a thinline Tele too! At 399 i'd be tempted!

I've gone a good 3 years without wanting any guitars at all. And now this tasty looking guitar comes along at a good price and I'm starting to count up all the stuff I could sell. ****.

Made in China. It'll be interesting to see the quality control on these, the blacktop series were a bit of a mess to be honest. I'd say they could be decent enough if you were able to compare a couple though.

If the squier classic player series are anything to go by, i'd say they'll be great! I'd have to hear some reviews and play one before parting with cash, but i'd be expecting the quality to quite good on them.

Yeah I was a bit shocked at first to see these were made in China, but if the Classic Vibe series are any indication as to the quality of these guitars then im still excited :)

It looks like there is going to be more than just the Modern Player series being made in China. Check out these legit Chinese Strats:

    T2Q1x1Xo0bXXXXXXXX_%21%21680718884.jpg

22 frets, a 2 point trem and more than likely a lot cheaper than a MIM Std Strat. If the QA is good they could be onto a winner.

Hmm I dunno, they kind of seem like they could be just high end squiers with the fender name. If they were around 300 quid they'd be interesting enough, even to mod.

I have to say though, if fender slapped a fender logo onto the classic vibe series they could've made a lot if money. They play a lot better than the majority of mexicans straight off the shelves, especially newer ones. The quality control is excellent too, they seem to be very consistent. With a good set of pickups you've got an American tele for penneys. And the binding on that custom version, wow.
