    hi all i want to watch American tv progrmas live on my laptop.
    and when u search there are a lot of sites that give you a wide variety in prices.
    dose anyody know 1 with 1000's of channels that is *legal* and that has a good steam no ads , free trial and will not need refreshing and constant ars-eing about ,

    Keep well away from those sites that offer you 1000s of channels. Of the legit ones, I found Film on.tv to be the best, but you pay for the pleasure. IIRC it was €140 euros or thereabouts for the better quality channels.

    FilmOn.tv show a plethora of American & Canadian channels. Or at least they did last week before I uninstalled it.

    seeon. tv has Live NBC/ABC/CBS as well as Fox soccer channel.
    The lineup seems to change a bit but every time i tried it NBC was there .
    Quality not great but well able to watch it .
    And its free.
