Just a quick heads up for anyone interested in this.
Aldi currently have 1 x 1 meter fire blankets on sale for 9 euro.

I picked up 2 of them today in Aldi,Ballymun, and they were selling fast.So you better be quick if you want to buy 1.:)

Plenty of them down here and don't seem to be moving at all. Few months ago Lidl had a fire extinguisher for around €24.

I did a Fire Awareness course the other week presented by Apex and they do a fire blanket & extinguisher for €30, think I might check this out first.

Either way you can't put a price on health n safety.

Ikea are also selling fire blankets for around 15 euro. They are the same size as the Aldi one above.

They are also selling large powder fire extinguishers in Ikea for something like 20 euro, had a quick look at them last week while having a nose around Ikea.

    Well,seen as you ask Jamesd......................

I actually got the Ikea fire blanket for just under 12 euro from Ikea, with an Ikea customer loyality card. The Ikea retail list price was 15 euro.

3 euro saved is still 3 euro saved.:D
