Anyone remember Adidas Cruisers???

I own 2 reasonably new pairs of Adidas Tour 360 golf shoes.

Once the grass gets a bit wet, I may as well be wearing flip flops!!! They're absolutely useless in wet weather & for shoes that retail at over €100, Adidas need to take a good look at their quality standards.

Many years ago, I owned a pair of Adidas cruisers & they were probably the best pair of wet weather shoes I've ever owned.

Any thoughts on what the best wet weather shoes are in 2011?? By the way, the Adidas Cruisers were a cheap, moulded shoe that retailed for about €40.

Yep they seemed to be the only really 100% waterproof shoes of their day. After heavy use though they were also very good at making maggots

Had a pair and wore them out in countless rounds. They were indeed 100% waterproof. But I dont think I would wear the same these days. There are more comfortable alternatives now, even if they wont maintain the waterproof property anything like as long. Cruiser a little bit too like wearing wellingtons.

I still have a pair and they are brilliant, totally dry no matter how bad the conditions.

I think they were too successful and Adidas realised they could market dearer shoes and the public would pay top dollar to wear the latest Sergio endorsed must have 'super shoe' ...... more profit, more turnover and all down to people being sucked into thinking they must have the latest gimmick.

I have two pair, wore one today and bone dry (mind you I gave up the game for 5/6 years and they were in the attic), comfy too

Adidas Tour 360 golf shoes.

I am using a pair still, because they are the most comfy pair i've ever worn.
but only just got the summer out of them, the coating comes off the leather effect uppers.
Now just like wearing paper bags in the wet. so avoid!:(

The adidas Cruiser golf shoe had a Polyurathane sole and a synthetic membrane upper which was 100% waterproof. The Cruiser golf shoe came in two colours - White and Black. The tongue was designed not to allow water ingress. The Golfing Union of Ireland undertook a marketing survey and the adidas Cruiser commanded more than 55% of the Irish golfing shoe market. Tretorn approached the Irish Distributor to enquire when adidas would cease selling the Cruiser shoe in Ireland.

The Cruiser was the only 100% waterproof golf shoe on the Irish market at the time.

Unfortunately, when adidas HQ decided to supply the Irish market from the UK instead of from an Irish base, the Cruiser golf shoe and other such best selling adidas products ceased to be marketed in Ireland
