I had a minor crash during the week. I had to jam on the person behind tried to swerve onto the path but caught the back left side. There's some scratches and paint transfer.

    I'm
Been advised to get the car checked underneath as there could be damage to the shocks or other damage. To get the scratches covered I think the bumper needs a full respray.

Can I bill him for getting the car checked underarm to make sure no other adage is done?

You can indeed, if he's planning on keeping it away from insurance you need to be clear with him from the start though and make sure he's aware of the impending bill. Otherwise get on to his insurance company and they'll send you to one of their assessors

    Ok, that's grand.

Was pouring rain when it happened! Had a good look today when the ar was dry and it's pretty bad cosmetically.

When the damaged is been accessed, they usually look for anything they can make money on, at the end of the day they have to make money. Should they think that shocks, wheels, lights etc need to be replaced they will quote for them and usually price OE parts.

If the other party is going to pay from their pocket, maybe ask the guys doing the repair to try and keep costs down where possible, of course bring the car back to pre-accident condition.
