Trouble accessing internet after power cut

I am having trouble accessing the internet following a fairly lengthy power cut to the house. I can access some websites but others take an age to load or wont load at all. I have experienced this some time ago and after a while it seemed to resolve itself. I use 3 broadband as my ISP and access using one of their wireless routers which is wired to my main home pc using an ethernet cable and also wireless connections are used by my laptop and my son accesses using a playstation.
I have called 3 technical support and they seem unable to offer any advice and frankly I have no confidence in them.
I am confident that the problem is not with the laptop as I am currently able to access using another connection that is available in the household using my daughters meteor connection. I tend to think that the PC also is ok. I have reset the 3 modem to the restore settings and also turned off the firewall as well as deleting my free AVG software. This is totally frustrating particularly as 3 are worse than useless in offering any help. It is really frustrating as I dont think there is much wrong with the equipment and just need to tweek some settings somehow.
    Can anyone help

^^^This kind of says you just have bad coverage, I use O2 and it's problematic at times, especially this Week with the odd weather, it doesn't work unless it's hanging off of the Curtain railing beside the window.

You could try doing a System Restore back to a date before the Power cut and then delete and re-install 3.

Thanks for that. Already tried the system restore and this didnt work. There was a time when i would have agreed about the poor coverage because be are really in a remote area but after having a really good period of good service it seems odd for things to go wrong after the power cut. Been back to 3 customer support tonite and they reckon they have a server down. Somehow I dont accept/trust what they say. Right now its says I am connected but just cant see any pages or browse??!! 3 cant tell me when the server will be back up. Does anyone else get frustrated at these overseas based call centres. The so called customer service is crap. They are so poorly trained and dont really understand your issues. With so many people looking for jobs in Ireland why cant 3 set up a customer service centre here. It would at least give you a fighting chance if you can half understand what they are on about.
Still no internet and have emailed them and told them they have until wednesday which is my next billing date to sort otherwise I pull the plug forever.
Anyone recommend a good Broadband supplier that can deliver in a very remote area of Kerry. Need to access a without phone line- via sattelite or dish or some kind of wireless connection.

3 have a Forum on here if you want to try it. Though there was a Thread in Feedback awhile back giving out about the Service there also.

    Broadband Forum.

I feel your pain...:( don't mean to gloat but I've been blessed with Meteor here, whether I use it upstairs in front of the house or downstairs in the Kitchen most times I get a full 3G hspa signal but I think I'm sitting on top of a transmitter:D
