Oulart the Ballagh Eircom works

    Hi,
    Anybody knows what exactly is Eircom doing recently in Ballagh/Oulart area?
    I know that they're replacing some of old cabling etc. I just wonder if there is a chance for better DSL broadband after improvements.

    Probably upgrade works for NGB seeing as the area isn't enabled yet.

    That makes no sense here in Ballagh as we're on maximum length of copper here (Attn in area is from 57-63. 65 max for DSL). So unless they shorten the length of cable to less than 3 Km NGB (as per ADSL2+ spec) does not really affect us (it obviously will those living near Oulart). Any other guesses, like maybe exchange for Ballagh ?
