Wanted: Double-bass/ drummer / baritone or tenor saxophone / trombone / trumpet : Kilkenny / Tipperary / Waterford

Singer / guitar-player starting a band to play old-style Blues, Ragtime & Swing music that make people want to dance. This will be mostly Original Music.

Genre: wide-variety of American music – New Orleans second-line to Chicago, Texas-shuffle to Piedmont, swing, ragtime and hokum. Primarily 30’s to early 50’s style.

Positions Available: Drums, Double-bass, horns. Open to other instruments, e.g. washboard, cajon, tuba, cornet, clarinet, tenor banjo, fiddle, etc.

Band Location: Kilkenny City / Thurles
Influences: Big Joe Turner, John Lee Hooker, Jackie Brenston & Ike Turner, Professor Longhair, Jellyroll Morton, Louis Jordan, Cats & the Fiddle, Louis Armstrong & H5/7s, Tampa Red, Ray Charles, as well as "modern" artists, e.g. C.W. Stoneking and Squirrel Nut Zippers.
