Erase all content and settings

If I go into setting -> general -> reset -> Erase all content and settings

will I need to restore firmware or just connect to itunes to activate it again.

i have an iphone here that is on 4.3.3 but want to jailbreak after resetting it, but haven't saved the shsh blobs for 4.3.3

You won't need to restore, the phone will be as if it is just out of the box new.

If the phone is already jailbroken doing the erase all will probely put the phone into a loop, 3 phones I have down it on went into a loop and when I did it on an unjailbroken phone it worked perfect.

the only time i did it on a 3GS it took ages to do and it was jb and had to be restored at the end of it

Yeah, it worked out fine, the phone was not jailbroken and I just activated as normal.
