    Hi,

I am upgrading the phone next week from Galaxy S to a Galaxy S2.

How do I port over all the info from one phone to the other? Photos, directories, music, email etc.

    Rgds.

Copy stuff from Galaxy onto PC via usb cable as normal.
Copy stuff from PC onto Galaxy 2 via usb cable as normal.

Email is in "the cloud" so dont bother copying that.

Text messages and stuff need root to backup I think which is annoying. Also savegames / other stuff. So gotta root phone and use titanium backup app for that.

If your stuff is on an sdcard..... take sdcard out of galaxy and put into galaxy 2 \o/

Not sure about the specifics, but as for your text messages, i think there is an app which you can use to back up all your messages to your Gmail, account, then pull them back from that using the same app installed on your new phone. I did this a few months ago with galaxy s when installing a new firmware. Wasn't that tricky to do either..

You don't need root to backup messages and no need to go backing them up to Gmail........
    Just use this free app
