Getting Finnish TV In Ireland

    Heippa kaikille,

I don't know if many people here have much need for Finnish TV but I have been using the service provided by http://www.***.fi for the last six months - and I have to say it is a great service. There is also a gadget called Boxee made by D-Link and when you combine the two you basically get all Finnish TV programs on your home TV as if you were actually there. This all assumes you have a decent broadband connection.

My wife is Finnish in case anyone is wondering.

So I thought I would post this up in case anyone else is Finnish or has a Finnish OH.

    Näkemiin

    Hi,

That is indeed the Boxee box that I use. The *** app is not developed by D-Link and should be seen like you would buy an I-phone with the app preloaded. What you need to find out is if there is an equivalent app for Swedish TV and if so what hardware supports it. The best and most surprising thing about *** is that they don't block access from non-Finnish Internet connections.

I removed the name of the site as it seems after a google the legality of it is in question.
Anyone can still PM OP for a link, it's just that the name cannot be posted until I get a confirmation that site is legal.
