    Hello all,
So I saw one of these on DoneDeal (link) and I liked the look of it. I figure a 1.4 diesel would run on the smell of it :D Does anyone know if they're trouble free? Or any pro's or con's at all.
    Thanks in advance,
    13spanner.

just had experiance of one there during the week (opel)

the only down side to the one i was with was no side door but meh !

it is very very economical but the guy who had it said its not the fasted van on the road when he gets his tools and all into it

other than that they are good lil run abouts.

i know of another one though (opel reliability here) thats a 02 and the wipers dont work, the indicator stalk is broken and the engine warning light comes on from time to time but that was a 1.7cdti version.

funny enough driving down the motorway the other day the fuel gauge in it went right the way down until it was red and flashing but when stopped for a while it went back up to 1/4 a tank :pac:

The Opel/Vauxhall Combo is 1.3 litre diesel, not 1.4 litre. It is a Fiat engine and is a reliable unit. In the Combo it has 75bhp, not the fastest in the world but then again it is a van not a car. I borrowed a similar van to that (ex Royal Mail) last Christmas, it had a coolant leak somewhere but other than regular top ups of coolant it started everytime even in the very cold weather.

have one as company van , 200k kms up - just a few oil leaks recently but faultless other than that. Nice ride , good handling and nippy once it gets going . Being a small dsl its thirsty if driving hard. High roof means high winds effect them badly .

5 years ago I wanted to buy an Astra SXi with the 90bhp version of that engine. Best buddy bought it instead. Serviced it for the first time about 9 months ago with 104k km on it after buying it with 22k km. No problems at all, pulls well on boost. Hope it lasts after the ill treatment.
