Hi Guys i recently traded up my 1.4 06 focus zetec for a 09 Kia Ceed Sw Diesel and i must say its a lovely drive has a bit of go in it too. but i feel its using a little too much diesel and could also hear a whistle when i put my foot on the acceleration pedal and i noticed a fuel filter light coming on intermittently and brought it back to dealer and they said it was a faulty fuel sensor and that they couldn't hear the whistle they claim the fuel sensor would have an impact on fuel consumption but i still think its a bit heavy on diesel im suppose im looking to find out if there would be a difference in fuel consumption between 1.4 petrol and a 1.6 diesel? i would of expected better MPG in the diesel hence the reason i changed. any thoughts any body?
