    Sorry for the long post...

So wifes 09 Suzuki Swift, shes had it 3 months.
Problem with handbrake 'seizing' or sticky.
Two visits to garage (not where it was purchased) under warranty seemed to fix it.
Almost straight away, car seemed to be in 3rd when taking off in 1st.
Back to (different, but where bought originally)garage and told hand brake needed to be adjusted.
Told them I wasnt happy and eventually they had a look at the gear box/clutch and found a worn part, master cylinder I think he said.
Picked it up this morning drove it to work, tried to reverse into car space, and it stalled.
Took a couple of goes to start it again.
Tried to recreate the fault by reversing a couple of times and it wouldnt stall, but it shudders at stop with clutch fully depressed.
Rev counter fluctuating between 500/750 revs per min.

Garage are sending someone out on Monday to pick it up.
My question is, have we just been unlucky with a seperate problem?
Or are these current symptoms linked to the clutch/gearbox work just completed?

Thanks, and thanks for sticking with me :-)

UPDATE: Car was sitting for approx 4hrs and I started it up again, 1000rpm no shuddering, started first time. :-( or :-) ?

I would get them to look at the slave and master cylinder again could be worn out or not bleed properly.

Could be an earthing problem. I would look to make sure the earths are all secure make sure the gearbox one is on the gearbox. Sounds like

Then look at the air intake see if there's an issue also try get it hooked up too a computer.

The shuddering/near stall has completely dissapeared, but reversed out of the drive this morning put it in 1st and again it feels like 3rd (problem it went in for).
    Only happened once.

Ive heard mention of a gear selector switch/unit, would that be a plausable root cause?

I had a problem with the gear linkage on my car, the problem is more of it dose not go into gear and when it dose it's hard to get out.

It's hard to call, just take a look at the Master and Slave if you can see it. When you press down the clutch it should be firm not soft and unsure of itself.

Try get someone too look at the gearbox when you are depressing the clutch pedel and then move the gear selector threw the gears.

if the clutch isn't 100% working it will grind gears and audibly so when selecting reverse. So that's either happening or not.

If it's running rough and has a fluctuating idle that's something else.
They should put it on diagnostics and find it handy enough, fingers crossed.
