Bad booze moments? Blame your immune system

Fairly illogical idea. What's the point in taking a pill to limit the effects of alcohol? Surely people who drink copious amounts do so to get drunk, so if they don't want to feel the effects of alcohol then why drink in the first place?

There are no trick methods with Alcohol though you may have a lesser hangover occasionally. They've all been tried and if one existed it would be common knowledge by now.Ask the fellahs in AA.

So now we need a pill which would replace self-moderation. Maybe we need pills to stop us speeding while driving, beating up people we don't like and stealing things we want. Or we could just behave ourselves or learn to live with the consequences.

Wouldn't this effect be achieved by drinking something non-alcoholic if you don't want to get drunk? Why waste money on alcolhol which you immunise yourself against? Is there a pill that would allow me to drink petrol with no ill effects?

Seems like a stupid idea to me.

Drinking to the point of not remembering your actions is stupid. Continually doing it knowing the result means you have a problem with alcohol and are more than likely an alcoholic. Taking pills to counteract the effects is not clever, it's avoiding the problem.

If you get pissed do something retarded and up in court it would be a good thing to add to your defense, "I have a drink problem but I'm on tablets for it now" couldn't hurt. ;)

What do you mean they have all been tried? There are constantly new treatments being developed for things.

I regularly get alcohol transfusions just to be on the safe side.
