I was sorry no one has responded to this query as I have a similar one. I used the 3 dongle fine for mobile computing and when I got rid of my Eircom broadband and phone connection I upgraded to the B260a 3g modem and router as the home substitute. However, the signal strength is very poor and I find that the signal strength from Vodafone is much better (using a dongle on a prepaid SIM card as a trial). I want to know if it is possible to convert the Huawei to use with my Vodafone SIM card, or do I have to go and invest in Vodafone's 3g router offering?

The router is unlocked so you can fire in the vodafone settings with a vodafone sim and away you go.

Not 100% sure of the process but you either modify the existing settings or create a new set but there are a few posts around (try the talk to 2 forum and this one) say its possible and more on how to do it.
