Today's event is well underway in the Citywest hotel and a great start to the day for Willie O'Connor who's into the 3rd round after defeating Paul Rowley 6-2 in the 1st round and followed that up with a 6-0 demolition of seed Denis Ovens.

Not such good news for Brendan Dolan however who was defeated by Kilkenny player Dave Coyne 6-3 in the 1st round. Shane O'Connor is also into the 3rd round. For updates and results go to this link; www.pdc.tv/page/NewsdeskDetail/0,,10180~2469059,00.html

Willie O'Connor loses to Peter Wright 6-2 in the 3rd round but the £400 earned today has pushed him back into the qualifying places for the World Championship in the Players Championship rankings.

There down to the semi finals already in Dublin today and a great day of darts already with Phil Taylor hitting a 9 darter in an earlier game and then Barneveld throwing a 9 darter against Taylor but Taylor still beat him!

Bad day for Brendan Dolan and Willie O'Connor who both crashed out in the 1st round. All updates and results can be found on this link; www.pdc.tv/page/NewsdeskDetail/0,,10180~2470004,00.html

Great weekend for Justin Pipe who is in the final against Taylor.

Pipe was 5-3 up against Taylor yesterday in the QF before going down 6-5, can he go 1 better today? It will be difficult for him but a fantasic weekend anyway!

    and............Justin Pipe beats Phil Taylor!

6-5 - Pipe opens with 137 and 140 but Taylor follows two tons with a 140. Pipe hits 100 to leave 124 and when Taylor fails to take out 161 he sets up the bull for victory, but misses. Taylor misses tops and Pipe hits the same bed for a 13-darter and his first professional title.

Well done....today proved it wasn't just a pipe dream

    I'll get my coat :p

Well done Justin Pipe! I met this player 2 years ago in Killarney at the Gleneagle tournament. A nice guy who takes the game seriously and at that time was only starting out but has made a big name for himself the past 12 months or so. Great to see players like Pipe getting their just rewards for hours of practice and dedication to the game.
