How long does it take to get a vat number?

Just a quick one. I applied for my VAT number on the 19 Of September and I still see no sign of it. I checked on ROS and my number has not been activated. I know its the same as my corporation tax number but I need to get stuff from the UK and without a Valid VAT number I am asking for trouble. So does anyone know how long…

Just a quick one.

2 to 3 weeks IIRC, try calling to your local office, they might be able to speed it up
