Has anybody had their wedding at the schoolhouse in Dublin or attended a wedding there and what was the verdict. Thanks for your help.

We had our reception there two months back. There were a few plusses (lovely indoor and outdoor spaces, good location, decent prices), but many minuses as well. Three days before our wedding we still didn't know what hors d'ouerves were going to be served (though the choices were promised to us several months earlier), the menu served was not the menu that we had agreed and we weren't alerted to this until the food was served, there was zero communication between the events coordinator and the restaurant and bar managers, who were the ones actually there on the day. I will say that the service staff in the bar and restaurant and the two managers were great, especially so because they had to work fast to fix the events coordinator's botched job.

Am happy to PM if you have questions.

I was a guest at a wedding there and thoroughly enjoyed it!

We live just outside the city, dumped the children and stayed nearby - The Lansdowne Hotel. Got a great rate there...

Food was excellent and I would be a big fan of the place - did not know what to expect as I never heard of it as a wedding venue before, but they did a good job.

Only complaint I heard was about parking (or lack of)
