Mizuno Swing DNA V Fore Golf Naas

    Hi guys

Looking to maybe get a new set of Mizuno MP 53s or else JPX 800 Pros.

Was going to go to Fore Golf to get custom fit but saw that American Golf and Halpennys etc... have the Mizuno Swing DNA shaft optimiser thing in their store. (See here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRtKvglfkPE ) Looks very interesting. Basically analyses all aspects of your swing and recommends a shaft which you can then try out. I have read good things about it but havent come across anyone trying it in Ireland.

If it works like it should then all that would have to be custom fitted really is lenth and lie no ? Surely American Golf or Halpennys could do this bit as well as Fore Golf ? Getting the right shaft is the hardest bit id think ? (Fore Golf have the Swing DNA too)

Obviously it would be great if it works as it'd save me probably a couple of hunderd bucks not having to go to Fore Golf.

So has anyone tried it ? Would you be confident enough to go with it over Fore Golf ? Do Fore Golf just end up using the same Swing DNA thing anyway for Mizuno irons ?

    Cheers for any input.

    Hi,
Did it last week in The Grange Kinsealy, did a custom fit then asked about the Muzino swing DNA and got the exact shafts the pro had recommended based on the custom fit. Cost was 30 quid for the custom fit. The pro said u get some weird readings on the 3 swings if u are not swinging consistent.

Cheers. Good to hear its coming up with the same results as a custom fitting. That seems to be what happens to most people.

Seems like it could save me a couple of hundred bucks instead of going to fore golf. Im not 100% sure though. Id definitely take 6 or 9 swings or whatever and see if it recommends the same shaft every time.

If i did need a full bag fitting or wasnt so set on MP-53s or JPX Pros i might still go to Fore Golf but seems as its just between those irons the swing DNA might be the way to go.....
