Best way to get an album distributed?

I'm recording an album at the moment and it's just about done, what I am wondering is what is the best cost effective way to get my album around the place. I want physical copies but mainly for it to be put on itunes and possibly amazon too. I know for at least itunes it seems the best way to get a distributor to put it up for me. Sorry if this is in the wrong section by the way.

I am wondering what peoples views are on this and if they maybe have any distributor companies that they have used and think are good.

I've used CDbaby for releases and found them easy to deal with and once you've paid the setup fee it's there on iTunes, Amazon, Zune etc. with no further fees due.

Watch out for services that will charge you an annual fee. Not worth it IMO.
