Exchange Global Address List - can I get rid of it?

    Hi all,

I have an iPhone 4 and I have set up my work Microsoft Exchange email account. When I set it up I only chose the 'sync mail' option and did not sync contacts or calendars. Having synced it I now find that I have somehow been given my work's global address list and every time I go to send an email and start typing an address it shows me the contacts on my phone and then matching contacts from work's global address list (which has almost 3000 addresses).

Also when I open my phone contacts there are now two groups - one titled "All from my PC" and the other "Exchange Global Address List". In an ideal world I would like to get rid of the latter. I have contacted the I.T department in work and they didn't have a clue about it.

Anyone know if I can get rid of it/stop it showing up?

Global address list comes over since you picked email to sync as it's part of exchange.
