Sister brushing her teeth too much?

Hi All

I have a bit of a weird one for you - I think my sister is brushing her teeth too much. She brushes a minimum of four times a day, sometimes more, and I genuinely think it's a compulsive thing with her. She brushes morning and evening, which is fine, obviously, but she also brushes her teeth pretty much every time we leave the house.

For example, if we're going for a drink or for something to eat, she'll be like "Hang on, I just have to brush my teeth." First of all, I don't really see the point in brushing your teeth before you eat, and secondly, I thought it was potentially harmful to brush immediately before or after eating or drinking?

I'm forever telling her that she's going to damage her enamel, but she just kind of scoffs at me and the idea that your teeth can be "too clean".

Any advice?

Tell her that unless she is using proper technique she could easily cause her gums to recede and end up looking like a horse!
