Use Macbook as a router to allow xbox connect to internet

I was wondering is it possible to allow your macbook connect to a wifi,and then connect your xbox to your mac to allow it go online?

Open up Preferences, and go to sharing, and configure "Internet Sharing".

I think both Xbox and PS3 are a little finicky with wifi connections created via OSX. From what I remember, you need to change an interger in some file somewhere to stop the connection timing out.

Only the recent 360s have built-in wireless. Previously you had to buy MS's ridiculously overpriced wifi adapter.

I tried this myself a few years ago. It was a nightmare trying to make it work with the ports. I gave up in the end and bought the adapter.

One tip I found helpful was to turn off Airport if you're not using a wireless connection to your Xbox.

It can (and does) interfere with your wired connection (no idea how).

If your Mac is connected to the interent via wi-fi then youl have to share the interent out using a ethernet lead, and have your xbox connected to the mac via the lead, and vice versa.
