8 year olds birthday party advice

    Hi,
I m trying to organise a party for my 8 yr old daughter and could do with some recommendations about venues. I was looking into The Chocolate Warehouse in Walkinstown but as there is a 25 min video about how chocolate is made I thought it might get boring for a group of hyper girls!!
The other option that I looked at is Giddy Studio craft place in Dundrum, as it charges by product painted I fear it might get a bit pricey and I m on a tight budget!
If anyone has been to these places I would appreciate some advice or if you have any other ideas I d be grateful.
    Thanks.

Why not just have a "pamper" party at home... popcorn, dvd, karaoke and nail painting? Works out cheap enough...

    Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion, sounds like a great idea, unfortunately my house is very small so this is why I m looking to get out and about with them :-)

I had my 8 year olds party at home last year. Never again!!

My plan for next year is to bring about 7 of her friends bowling and cinema, then for a pizza and home. Might keep one or two of her best friends for a sleepover then that night.

we had one in the UCD sport centre, for the girls they had a hocky based activity. 6€ per head for food and 80€ for the instructor. very well run.

I was just out in Giddy Studio the other day, it looks like the perfect place for a girls party but I think it could be expensive as the cheapest thing they have is a tiny clay dog-tiny- for €13, ring and enquire though as they may do a deal.
