"Radar 76" and "Radar 46"

    Does anybody know what type of aircraft the above are.They were useing that callsign talking to Shannon (119.75) today and passed overhead Knock(where i was) at 24,00ft.Definatly turboprop.

    Is there any chance the call sign was 'Rafair' (Royal Air Force). I don't think 'Radar' would be used as a call sign as it is usually used as an approach frequency reference.

    These were two US Marine Corps KC-130J Hercules and they had departed from Mildenhall for the transatlantic crossing.

    The aircraft are assigned to VMGR-352 Squadron (known as The Raiders) and their callsigns were:-

    "Raider 06" - 167111

    "Raider 46" - 167108
