Electrical/Electronic Engineering Advantages?

    Hi folks
I'm currently doing Electrical Services Engineering in DIT at the moment and have decided to take the bridging module (Signals and Systems) to allow me to enter year 3 of Electrical/Electronic Engineering. I've just been wondering if the course is really the dog's bollo**s of electrical engineering that it has been made out to be to us.
Does anyone have any ideas on what the job perspectives are compared to the likes of Electrical Services Engineering or any further info on it?
Any replies would be really appreciated.
    Thanks.

It's a good general electrical/electronic degree and will open way more doors than an electrical services qualification alone.

I guess it depends what you want to do long term. Doing the general degree will definitely stand to you in the long term.

I'm done that degree a long time ago, it may have changed here and there but I might be able to answer some questions if you have them.

jaysus i got about a hundred questions about that course and do you think i could think of one right now?

i suppose i would probably start with the course content, how much does it differ from electrical services?
