Self Catering Holiday in Ireland.

29-09-2011 7:51pm#1A couple of friends and I (roughly 12 of us) wish to spend a week in a self-catering hotel/villa, somewhere in the west of Ireland. We're all currently doing our leaving cert, sadly we all can't afford to go abroad, much to my disappointment. We prefer to be near a town, with shops and possibly a club and pubs.
Is there anywhere that would fit that criteria?
