What would be the situation if a GP changed a patients medication because of GP's concern that if the patient died and it was found in their blood people would ask who gave it to them?

And what if the GP sent the patient to a Consultant so that whatever meds would be prescribed would have been prescribed by the Consultant so that the GP would be off the hook in any questions were asked

The Medical council say the patient needs are paramount. Is a GP acting as above covering themselves breaking any law

The real question would be if you could prove that the drug in question was dodgy and that the prescribing of same was the cause of death. Get n.a medical negligence solictoir's opinion.
