    Have a heap of stuff in my download folder, can any of this be deleted without affecting the running of any programmes etc.

    All of it can be deleted without affecting the running of your system.

    Yep all of them, bar perhaps the finance excel spreadsheet if it is important and the graphic driver if it has not been installed already.

    The rest are .exe's used to install their respective programs

    If the programs are installed you can delete the lot.
