Hi, I'm looking to setup 3 new businesses.

In my own mind i'm thinking of setting up a umbrella branding situation. one would be the main business and the 2nd and the 3rd would be under this umbrella. I was woundering in the line of tax and the books would there be any difficulties in doing this? or would there be any advantages?

And on another note, I'll register these 3 names, and they don't trade within the first two years, what happens with the second year. (i've read what happens the second :) ) Many thanks

would be expensive to set up legal structures for 3 companies and pay an accountant to file for 3 companies etc. Why not set up 1 company with 3 trading names. Or go as sole trader with 3 trading names. there is little or no extra cost in this apart from branding stationary etc.
