Hi Guys car Opel Corsa 1999 failed nct today because of emissions does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

    Low idle: CO 0.52 VOL%
    HC 57 PPM

    High idle: Lamdba: 0.98
    CO 0.65 VOL%
    HC 51 PPM

    Failed on both CO.
    Hope this helps somewhat.

'Diptane' is your only job.....(Local motor factors)

    And replace the lambda sensor...

Do you know where i could get a cheap lambda sensor for a corsa?

It can be a lambda sensor, map/maf sensor, dirty air filter. I wouldn't spend a penny until I know whats the cause. Hook it up to a diagnostic scanner.

It doesn't sound like a lambda sensor fault to me, I would be more inclined tomthink the cat is failing. The emissions are only slighty off so I would try the dipetane.
